Andrea Elson
Andrea Hope Elson has been an American actor for many years. Elson started her career as an actress in her early years and as a model. Her most well-known role is for her role as Alice Tyler in the CBS Science-fiction television series. Andrea auditioned for and was awarded the part as Lynn Tanner on the hit show ALF (1986). The actress was on numerous popular TV shows as well as Movies of the Weekly for several more seasons before she left the industry to focus on her family. Andrea Elson was playing Lynn Tanner - the teenager daughter of Kate and Willie - at a time that she was going through a difficult time. In the 2000 retrospective of People Elson said developing as a young woman in front of the sitcom-viewing audience was a challenge. Green-eyed Elson was born New York City on March 6th in 1969. Elson grew up to become a traveling actress because her father had a job as an advertising executive. Andrea had lived in New York, Chicago San Diego, as well as Los Angeles before she turned ten. Andrea was able to find an agent who was based in San Diego and won her audition to play the role she wanted for her debut. Fusco justified the statement by saying "ALF has 285 years, so he is mature enough to be able to consume beer." But as ALF gained more popularity with youngsters, NBC stated to Fusco you can't have him drinking when the children are watching it's a bad character model. Fusco believes that ALF did not have the maturity required to not drink and drive was mistaken. In 1995, he was diagnosed with lymphoma. The treatment was successful, and the cancer remained at a high level of remission through the end of 2019. In June of 2019, at age 75, he died of cancer at the Lillian Booth Actors Home located in Englewood, New Jersey.
